Oreck Vacuum Cleaners: How and Why an Oreck Vacuum Cleaner Finally Came into my Life

For years there have always been two vacuum cleaners in the house. One upstairs for the bedrooms. One downstairs for the living room and dining room. This is all because I refused to lift and carry anything above 20 pounds up and down the stairs...

...it messes with my balance.

Anyway, in comes my oreck vacuum cleaner, weighing all of 8 pounds.

It looks like a stick with a bag attached to it. Fortunately its not all about looks. Its about getting the job done and that's exactly what it does.

Gone are the days of pushing and pulling those heavy vacuum cleaners about the house.

Oreck vacuum cleaners have always impressed me. So why didn't I get one sooner.

Money...

Those babies are expensive and honestly, some of those oreck vacuum cleaners don't look like you're getting much for your money.

But it's not about the looks anymore. My 8 pound oreck vacuum cleaner does the job as good as the vacuum cleaners I've used before. The difference is, I can put less force behind it.

How did I Finally get my Oreck Vacuum Cleaner?

Usually, I despise getting household appliances as gifts, but when I moved into an apartment with carpeted floors - I got over that quickly.

So far it's been a few weeks and I'm still fully in love with my oreck vacuum cleaner.

Unfortunately, it has not improved my feelings about vacuuming. It's still the most boring chore I could ever do. At least now the weight of the oreck vacuum cleaner makes the chore much easier and faster to complete.
